2017 NABPR Registration and Draft Program

The Draft Program, Registration, and housing are now open for the 2017 National Association of Baptist Professors of Religion (NABPR) meeting hosted by Belmont University in Nashville, TN.

Conference Fee: Before May 1: $95. After May 1: $120
All graduate student registration is compliments of NABPR. Students please note your status in the registration comment field.

Housing

A list of local hotels appears on the last page of the program. Belmont is providing on-campus housing to any registrant for $27 per night. You must register for the conference and housing separately. In order to take advantage of on campus housing, please fill out the housing form.

Linens are NOT provided.

Payment for housing will be made directly to Belmont when you arrive. NABPR will not collect housing payments at registration.

Meals

The registration fee covers the conference meetings, the banquet on Monday, lunch on Tuesday, light breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday, and coffee breaks.

The National Association of Baptist Professors of Religion (NABPR) invites paper proposals in any area pertaining to scholarship in Religion.  In an effort to develop innovative conversations among scholars, papers which create integration between traditional disciplines or broaden the margins of disciplinary conversations are encouraged.   Although many NABPR members work primarily in the traditional disciplines of Biblical Studies, Church History, Theology, etc., proposals are encouraged from any field, including Ministry Studies.

Paper or panel proposals on any aspect of pedagogy related to the teaching of Religion are encouraged.

Proposals must be received by January 15, 2017.  Send a 300-word abstract to:

Papers will be scheduled into a 30 minute time period, including discussion.
Proposals will be accepted or denied by March 1, 2017.

Graduate Students are encouraged to submit proposals.
